A BETTER BED MEANS BETTER SLEEP
The journal of chiropractic medicine published a study that compared sleep quality, back discomfort, and stress improvement after switching to a new mattress set [1]. The study recorded 30 women and 29 men's sleep for 1 month on a worn out mattress (~9.5 years old, moderately priced) and 1 month on a new medium-firm mattress. Significant improvements were found in sleep quality and efficiency by simply replacing the mattress. Furthermore, continued improvement was measured in the next month following the mattress change, and stress/worry markers were significantly decreased. Another follow up study specifically focusing on patients (n=27) with complaints of low back pain and stiffness recorded symptom improvements over a 12 week period post mattress change [2]. The replacement mattresses had a comfort level of medium-firm and latex/foam layers were tailored to accommodate the dominant sleeping position of the patient. Sleeping on the new, tailored mattresses resulted in a significant improvement in patients' back pain, back stiffness, shoulder pain, sleep quality, and sleep comfort. Furthermore, the improvement in back pain and stiffness continued to get progressively better throughout the 12 weeks studied.
So, you didn't just hear it from us, a new mattress really does mean better sleep.

Support
Is a firm mattress best for my back? There is a difference between support and a firm feel. What you really want is good support for your back, but also a comfortable feel. And comfort is your personal preference. The middle layers in a mattress provide support, and the top layers give you the comfortable feel for a good night’s sleep.
Adjustable
If you are more comfortable sleeping in a recliner than you are sleeping in a flat bed, then you might want to consider an adjustable foundation. Raising the foot of the bed helps relieve pressure on your lower back. Raising the head can help relieve acid reflux, and take stress off the neck. Some just love relaxing in their beds to watch television or read.
Comfort
To figure out which comfort feels best to you, ask to try out a firm feel, a plush feel and a pillow top mattress. Then ask to lay on other mattresses that have that same comfort feel. Try to lie on the mattress for 5 to 10 minutes. You won’t feel self-conscious about it, because we won’t hurry you along or pressure you in any way.
Relaxation
With a new mattress, you'll get the support and comfort you need to sleep through the night and wake up refreshed and ready to take on life's challenges. We're here to find you your perfect night's sleep - so perfect, you might even catch your furry creatures trying to sneak some zzzzz's on it too!
